I have been designing things ever since I discovered Word Art on my parents' Windows 98 desktop computer. When I was fourteen, I was taught how to use Adobe's Creative Suite – my mind was blown. It has since become my primary escape. Nowadays, I spend the majority of my days embarking on projects, freelancing and gazing into my computer screen. I also spend a notable ammount of time collecting vinyl, reading independent magazines and hosting a weekly radio broadcast in French. I like to dream up new ways to practice graphic design and simulate my creativity. For instance, designing and coding this website.
Raised in Colorado, I spent the majority of my childhood in the mountains skiing, at the Denver Art Museum or alone in my bedroom making everything from macaroni sculptures to abstract paintings and calling it 'art.' After graduating from Denver East High School, I moved to San Luis Obispo to study architecture at Cal Poly. However, during freshman year, I realized that my favorite part of the architecture classes were spent on InDesign carefully designing the layout of my portfolio's pages. I switched majors to Graphic Communication with a concentration on Design Reproduction. There, I found a creative outlet that allowed me to further explore my love of print and web design. My main passions are design, music and reading, and I am happiest when I can combine all three.
